Creating New Jobs

Mayor Benjamin believes that creating a thriving economy in Columbia means thinking toward the future. He supports keeping jobs in Columbia and helping foster a knowledge-based economy that can sustain the city through the 21st century.

That is why he has continued efforts to revitalize North Main Street and supports a new Enterprise Business Park for Midlands Tech. He sees opportunity for growth in new industries such as solar power manufacturing and a chance to attract innovative businesses to USC's research district.

Mayor Benjamin believes that, if we're willing to think big and work together, Columbia can become the most talented, educated, and entrepreneurial city in the Southeast if not America.
